UNIPORT Expels 21 Students As A Result Of Cultism And Other Vices.

The v.c said expulsion of the students was as the result of cultism, harassment of female lectures and issuing of a threat later to the school management .
He also said that there should be nothing like student Union government but rather student union only and that the addition of faculty president , departmental president etc are not regonise and as such they are allien to the school

Also, according to the vice chancellor of the university in an interview segment this evening 4th of January on Nigerian info f.m, resumption of 2016/2017 academic session on the earlier scheduled date of 8th January is highly tentative.
This is due to the renovations of hostel blocks and lecture halls going on in the university.
Resumption date will be ascertained after the sitting of the inspection committee tomorrow 5th January 2017.
The management is trying to avoid a situation whereby students return and places of learning and living isn't ready.
When asked about the chances of our expelled colleagues being called back and possibly get a probation, he reacted by saying that the decision to expel the students wasn't taking by the management but by the senate which consists of all professors and lecturers, including the librarians.
Concerning payment of school fees and writing of exams and marking of scripts, he has this to say "If you don't pay your charges, you cannot register yourself and so you are not a bonafied student of university of port Harcourt for that year and as such have no business writing exams.
